Bio

A quick snapshot of who I am, what I do, and where Iā€™m headed!

About Me

I am passionate about medical device innovation, AI/ML in healthcare, and end-to-end product development. My goal is to leverage engineering and technology to develop cutting-edge medical solutions that improve patient outcomes and address health disparities.

šŸ’¼
Experience

Currently, I am conducting research through ThinkNeuro, examining EEGs. I am also gaining project management experience as a Project Member of Project Advance Austin, where I am collaborating with a team of UT students and SpineHope, a non-profit in the greater Austin area. Over the past two years, I represented UT Austin in the National Medical Device Make-A-Thon, securing a Top 10 placement both years. These experiences refined my skills in medical device prototyping, regulatory analysis, and human-centered design. Additionally, last spring, I completed an AI/ML internship, where I developed a computer vision model for brain tumor detection using Python, TensorFlow, Docker, and Linux. Beyond my technical expertise, I am actively involved in leadership and mentorship. As VP External of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) at UT Austin, I launched BMESim, a program connecting students with hands-on medical simulation training. I also serve as a Ramshorn Scholars Program Manager, leading mentors to support first-year engineering students.

Experience

Internships

  • Spring Research Intern, Jan 2025 - Present

I am conducting bibliometrics research through ThinkNeuro. I directly utilize R, Excel, and Web of Science to analyze electroencephalogram (EEG) and its applications in detecting neurological disorders.

  • Project Advance Austin, Aug 2024 - Present

Currently conducting work with SpineHope, a non-profit dedicated to helping those with spine conditions. Working with a team of 3 other UT students and a Project Manager. Earned an IBM Project Management Certificate through PAA.

  • Spring Intern, May 2024

Previously interned at Crown Castle, through the Break Through Tech AI Program, to develop a computer vision model trained on over 3000 images. I designed it in 3 weeks to detect brain tumors at an accuracy of 71%.

  • VIBE Summer Internship May 2023 - July 2023

With 3 other engineering students, we designed a portable filtration system for use in low resource communities. We created it after analyzing research, gathering testimonies, and used SolidWorks to CAD it for our final presentation.
